intelligible
The ghost outside the machine, intelligible is a training and certification program of professional interpreters with management and technology proficiency

HVMA 2027 will be focusing primarily on INTEL (short for Intelligible) a professional skill development program for language service providers that addresses the combined problems of new barriers to access public services and opportunities, and the precarization of the jobs of language professionals supposed to ease those barriers.
This market failure is due to the combined pressures of a new regulatory void around title VI of the Civil Rights Act, excessive market consolidation and commoditization, and a technological disruption led by Generative AI.
INTEL is a professional training program for bilingual professionals that will provide them with the necessary toolset to address the problem of access, from an environment of job security, and with the necessary certification to prove it, through the title of Certified Professional Interpreter with AI Language Augmentation and Crosscultural Management Skills (CPI-AI).
This is a a project of the uttermost importance for the community, and for bilingual and transnational professionals. It is both an impactful intervention and a sustainable social entrepreneurship venture. It is also a perfect example of the mission for which HUMA was created.
